The Beatles EMI/Apple Promotional Photograph.

Framed size 42 x 30 cm, 17 x 12 inches.

Released in 1994 to promote The Beatles Live At The BBC album.

Obtained by Microdot Creative Director Brian Cannon in 1994 and held in the Microdot archive ever since.

This is not a reprint, but a 31-year-old orignal promotional item issued by EMI/Apple.

It's difficult to imagine a time when record companies were unable to email photos because the internet didn't exist, but that's pretty much why these promo photos were produced - to be posted or sent by courier (!!!) to magazines etc to be used in articles and for promotion. This is a 1994 original.

Handwritten '27A' to the bottom right corner - presumably an internal reference number from EMI Records, written in their press office before distribution.

The photo was mounted before framing in a Nielsen brand aluminium frame - as used in the Microdot Boutique and at all Microdot exhibitions.

This is the only one we currently have.
