Framed contact sheet from a photo session of The Verve for Time Out magazine in 1997.

A number of the images have been highlighted for potential use by the magazine's art director in wax pencil - see detailed shot.

Contact sheets were a pre digital way of viewing the results from a photo session without the expensive process of printing every shot. The negatives from the shoot were placed 'in contact' with a piece of photographic paper before being exposed to allow the photographer to see all the frames before chosing which ones to print.

This item is a from the negatives one off from 1997 and is obviously the only one we have.
